Asterism Relay Planning Console (Claude build)

The Claude build of a benchmark task: a deep-space communications planning console for scrubbing a simulated 24-hour mission, inspecting relay links, deploying relays, and scoring the plan against a baseline.

About this project

This is one of a pair of projects that both seek to implement the same benchmark web application task. The goal of creating these two projects was to compare the implementations produced by Claude Code and Codex from the exact same prompt. These types of comparisons are performed all the time between various models, and I wanted to get some hands-on experience with what that might be like. While I found them interesting, the complexity of the resulting products made them somewhat difficult to analyze. Both applications seemed good and met the completion criteria, but they definitely took slightly different approaches to the problem.
